Sowing & Growing
Begin the process indoors. Sow the seeds onto a moist, well-drained seed compost, ensuring they are just covered with a fine layer of vermiculite. Maintain a propagation temperature of at least +20°C. It’s essential to keep the soil consistently moist but not overly wet. Expect germination to occur within 10-15 days. If germination is delayed beyond 3-4 weeks, consider cold stratification by exposing the seeds to temperatures between -4°C and +4°C for a duration of 4 weeks, then return them to warmth. Once the seedlings are sizable enough to handle, transplant them into 8cm pots, allowing them to grow in cooler conditions. Acclimate the plants and proceed to plant them outdoors after the threat of frost has passed, spacing them adequately at 45cm intervals.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
