Sowing & Growing
Surface sow indoors onto moist well-drained seed compost. Propagate or place somewhere warm, ideal temp. 20-25°C. Germination takes 21-60 days.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed with 45cm spacing.
Prefers a well-drained soil with plenty of sun in a sheltered area. Soak root ball in a bucket of water prior to planting. Water well until established, after they require little water. After flowering the plant takes on a beautiful autumn colouration. Cut back to ground level in February, by April new growth should be visible. Lift and divide mature plants after 2-3 years.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
