Useful Information

Sowing & Growing

Sow directly from August to April, with an ideal time being in spring. Broadcast sow the seeds onto prepared soil that has been finely raked. Gently rake in the seeds and firmly press them down. Ensure proper watering and weed management. Germination typically occurs in 7-21 days at a temperature of 21°C, taking longer in cooler weather. Thin the seedlings to achieve the desired spacing.

This plant thrives in a fertile, well-drained soil when exposed to full sun. It exhibits drought tolerance. After flowering, prune the plant vigorously to stimulate basal growth, promoting winter hardiness. The plant has a tendency to self-seed. Propagation can be done through seed germination, spring division, or rooting basal cuttings in late spring.
