Spring Onion White Lisbon is an exceptionally fast-growing salad onion. Sow it successively to ensure a continuous harvest throughout spring, summer, and autumn. This customer favourite variety also excels in overwintering—consider a late sowing in September and witness the results! For companion planting benefits, experiment with growing onions alongside mint to confound and discourage onion fly.

Sowing & Growing
Spring onions thrive in any fertile soil that is well-drained. Sow seeds at 3-week intervals from March to August for a continuous crop. For an early spring harvest, consider sowing seeds in September and allowing them to overwinter. Sow generously at a depth of 13mm (0.5in) in drills spaced 15cm (6in) apart. No thinning is necessary. Harvesting typically begins approximately 8 weeks after sowing.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
