These vigorous semi-erect plants produce masses of hot peppers under a wide range of climatic conditions. The well branched plants produce pendulous down-facing fruit, which are 10 cm in length, ripening to deep-red. Originally selected for outdoor production in India, this variety has performed exceptionally well in unheated greenhouses in Northern Europe.
Sowing & Growing
Sow thinly January-March, 1/4″ deep in 3in pots with quality seed compost. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in 10-21 days at a minimum temperature of around 28C to maximise germination. Pot on into 9cm (3½”) pots when 2 sets of true leaves show. Transplant to larger pots/growing site when roots show at bottom of pot. When flowers show feed weekly with tomato food. When 4-5 inches plant 18″ apart in a warm location with root ball 1/2″ below the soil surface. It should take 70-80 days for maturity, harvest when fruits have reached full-size and full colour.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
