These plants display an open growth habit and bear a generous yield of uniquely shaped chillies which look like a Bishop’s hat, leading to the variety being known by various names. The vibrant red chillies boast a crisp texture, a delightful sweet flavour, and a mild pungency. They are excellent for raw consumption, adding an edible and decorative element to salads or cold buffets.

Sowing & Growing
Indoor sowing for these seeds is recommended between January and April, placing them in soil at a depth of 0.5 cm. If possible, use separate pots. When transplanting outdoors in late May, choose either containers for patio cultivation or a well-protected site. Keep in mind that peppers may have a longer germination period, potentially up to 35 days. It’s important to maintain moderate moisture levels in the compost to prevent seed rot. Additionally, be cautious of exposing these chilli peppers to cold temperatures, as they are highly sensitive to the cold.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
