Snow in Summer is a low-spreading perennial that showcases a profusion of white flowers against its grey-green foliage in early summer. True to its name, the mat-forming plant is entirely adorned with single white flowers in May and June, creating a stunning carpet-like display. With a modest height of around 15-20cm, it is well-suited for rockeries and walls.

Sowing & Growing
Carefully sow the seeds with a spacing of about 2cm (3/4″), ensuring a thoughtful and thin distribution. Gently rake the soil to cover the seeds and firm it down using the back of the rake. If the weather is dry for an extended period, water the seeds gently, but avoid excessive watering to prevent shallow root formation. Encourage roots to reach deeper for water, promoting a more resilient and water-efficient growth. Once the plants develop their first pair of true leaves, thin them to 10cm (4″) apart, firming the soil around their bases. In September or October, transplant the plants to the flowering site, taking care to include a soil ball around the roots. Gently water the transplants, and for the first year, consider providing some protection from winter winds.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
