Sowing & Growing
Planting should be done from April to July, and harvesting occurs from September to late November. For sowing, you can start in trays or modules under glass at a temperature of 13°C. Later sowings can be done in a seed bed, placing the seeds in shallow drills about 2cm (3/4″) deep in short rows.
Once seedlings in the glasshouse show their first pair of leaves, prick them off into trays, spacing them 5cm (2″) apart, or thin modules to one seedling per cell. Gradually harden off the seedlings before planting them out. Space the plants 40-45cm (16-18in) apart between each plant and 45-60cm (18-24in) between the rows.
For outdoor sowings, thin the plants to 7-10cm (3-4in) apart. Once the plants reach 15cm (6in) in height, they can be lifted and transplanted into their final positions, spaced as mentioned above.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
