Sowing & Growing
Sow and grow this cabbage variety from March to May, beginning in pots or modules at a depth of 10-15mm. Plant them outdoors when they are large enough to handle after undergoing a hardening-off process. Space the plants 30-40cm apart, and they will be ready to harvest from August.
For succession planting, sow seeds from July to September. Most brassicas are best started in a seedbed or modules under glass before being transferred. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 12mm (½in) with 15 to 20cm (6 to 8in) spacing between rows. Thin the seedlings to 7.5cm (3in) apart after germination, and when transplanting cabbage seedlings, plant them as deeply as possible for better anchoring. Water the day before transplanting, and ensure adequate watering until the plants are established. Plant them closely together for small heads or farther apart for larger cabbages, typically around 30 to 45cm (12 to 18in) apart. To cultivate spring greens, plant them out 15cm (6in) apart and harvest alternate plants in March for spring greens, allowing the others to fully mature.
During the growing phase, remove any yellow leaves, provide foliar feed as the plants near maturity, water regularly, especially in dry periods, and hoe between plants as needed. Harvesting can be done from April to May, with the earliest heads cut, leaving the stump in the ground to encourage a second crop of small, leafy heads.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
