Sowing & Growing
To sow Costoluto Fiorentino seeds, prepare a pot or seed tray with a compost or soil mix, mid to late March is an ideal time for sowing when temperatures reach around 15-18°C. Create shallow drills or holes in the soil, approximately 1cm deep, and place the seeds within. Cover them with a thin layer of compost or soil mix, and water gently to maintain soil moisture. Position the pot or tray in a warm, well-lit area, such as a sunny windowsill or greenhouse. Ensure the soil remains moist but not waterlogged. Once the seedlings reach a height of 5-7cm, transplant them into larger pots or plant them outdoors in a sunny, sheltered location with well-draining soil.
The optimal temperature for growing these tomatoes is between 20-25°C. Provide support for Tomato Costoluto Fiorentino plants as they grow, and anticipate fruit production around 12-14 weeks after sowing. Harvest the ripe, red tomatoes regularly to encourage continuous growth, typically occurring in late summer or early autumn. Regular picking helps prevent overripening and damage to the fruit.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
