Sowing & Growing
Begin by sowing under cover from November to February. Surface sow the seeds onto moist seed compost, covering them with 10mm of vermiculite. Facilitate germination by maintaining a temperature between 20-25°C. Once the seedlings are robust enough, transplant them into pots and gradually acclimatize them before planting them outdoors, ensuring a spacing of 30cm apart and only after the threat of frost has diminished. Alternatively, from late May to June, you can sow the seeds directly outdoors at a depth of 6mm in fine soil.
For effective aftercare, provide a liquid feed every 6 weeks to support optimal growth. If planning to overwinter the plant, pot it up and bring it under cover at the end of the season. To manage its size, consider cutting it back to a more manageable form. Following these steps will help you nurture a thriving and resilient garden addition.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
