Sowing & Growing
Sow indoors, March to May 2.5cm deep in individual pots, be careful when transplanting as they aren’t keen on root disturbance. Get them used to the colder conditions for a few days before planting outside, allow around 20cm spacing per plant.
Or sow outdoors May to June, 2.5cm deep, allowing 20cm gap per plant and per row. If you can cover the seeds with a cloche or such like at first that will help, keep well watered. They do require a good summer to produce a good crop.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
