Regina F1 cucumber seeds represent an early, high-yielding hybrid variety suitable for cultivation in both greenhouses and outdoor settings. This medium-early hybrid stands out for its robust growth, predominantly producing female flowers. The cucumbers from Regina F1 boast a rich, dark green colour, excellent taste with no bitterness, and exhibit resilience to drought and high temperatures.
Noteworthy is its impressive tolerance to downy mildew and remarkable resistance to cucumber scab, cucumber mottle mosaic virus, gummy stem blight of cucurbits, and bacterial diseases commonly affecting this plant species. The fruits are consistently shaped, rarely deforming, and feature a smooth skin with a few thick warts sporting white tips. These cucumbers, reaching a size of 5cm, are perfect for pickling or enjoying as delightful snacks.

Sowing & Growing
Cucumbers can be directly sown into the field in May or cultivated from seedlings. To initiate this process, sow cucumber seeds in pots as early as May and later transplant the fully developed seedlings to their permanent location in the latter part of the month. By this time, the young plants should no longer be at risk of late frosts. When planting, ensure a spacing of 10 cm between cucumbers in rows that are 135 cm apart. Cucumbers thrive in warm, nutrient-rich soils, requiring moisture and good permeability for optimal growth and abundant yields. An ideal location for cucumbers is a sunny and wind-sheltered site.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
