Undoubtedly, this ornamental grass is the epitome of majesty, boasting large, stately plumes reminiscent of ostrich feathers that gracefully ascend from a mass of tufted, narrow foliage. It is easily cultivated from seed, exhibiting rapid growth and typically yielding its distinctive plumes in the second year.

Sowing & Growing
Caution: These seeds are extremely small. To sow pampas grass seeds, do so indoors or in a heated greenhouse from February to April. Use a tray and a fine seed compost, placing the tray in a polyethylene bag to maintain a temperature around 15-18 degrees Celsius. Germination typically takes 2-3 weeks, so ensure the soil remains moist. Once the seedlings are sizable enough, transplant them into individual pots and continue their growth in the greenhouse. Plant them in their permanent outdoor positions during the summer, ensuring they are large and robust enough to withstand wind exposure.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
