In our experience, Pepinex F1 stands out as possibly the finest cucumber to cultivate! This variety yields exceptionally straight, long, and crisp cucumbers, making it a preferred choice for gardeners. The fruits are smooth, lengthy, and free from bitterness, displaying robust disease resistance and a tolerance to powdery mildew. As an early variety, Pepinex F1 typically produces its first fruits in 10 to 12 weeks.
Cucumbers, traditional salad vegetables that can be grown either in a glasshouse or outdoors, thrive with Pepinex F1, delivering smooth, lengthy, and bitter-free fruits with excellent disease resistance and powdery mildew tolerance. While the long green cucumber types commonly found in stores require a heated glasshouse, Pepinex F1 adapts well to your vegetable plot and can be cultivated earlier using cloches, cold frames, or polytunnels.

Sowing & Growing
Sow your seeds on their edge to prevent rotting, placing them 1.5cm (1/2″) deep in individual 9cm (3 1/2in) pots under glass with a constant day and night temperature of 21°C. Once the seedlings have developed 3 true leaves, transplant them into 15cm (6″) pots. When the plants reach a height of about 10cm (4″), move them to their final positions in large pots or growbags under glass. Provide necessary support and tie in stems as needed.
Male flowers, identifiable by the absence of fruit behind them, may appear under stress conditions; promptly remove these. Expect maturation between July and September, bearing in mind that Cucumbers thrive in a moist atmosphere. Keep the plants well-watered and begin regular feeding once fruits start to set.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
