Sowing & Growing
Sow February to April, early sowings in trays under glass at 16-18°C. Later sowings in pots or trays in a cold frame or unheated glasshouse.
Sow the seed onto the surface of moist seed sowing compost and lightly cover to its own depth. Heated sowings should be pricked off into trays 5cm (2″) apart as soon as large enough to handle. Harden off before planting in growing site 30cm (15″) apart. Do not plant until any danger of frost has passed.
Outdoor sowings should be thinned before planting out in June, cut off any side shoots leaving one centre stem of growth. Maturity October onwards.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
