Monarda Didyma Panorama Mixed is a charmingly cultivated variety of the delightfully fragrant plant, introduced over 300 years ago and earning a well-deserved status in Cottage gardens. While the wild plant holds its own beauty, ‘Panorama’ stands out as a marvellous achievement with its perfected whorls of flowers displaying a spectrum of brilliant colours in shades of scarlet, bright red, pink, salmon, and crimson. This delightful strain reaches a height of 2½ft (75cm), adding vibrant hues to any garden landscape.

Sowing & Growing
Sow the seeds indoors 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost, ensuring they are just covered with soil. Propagate at an ideal temperature of 20°C, with germination typically taking 10-24 days. Once the seedlings are sizable enough to handle, transplant them into 8cm pots and nurture their growth. Acclimate the plants before planting them outdoors, ensuring a spacing of 50cm after the danger of frost has passed. Alternatively, they can be directly sown in autumn where they are intended to flower the following year. Provide water as needed until the plants establish themselves.
These plants thrive in moderately fertile, moist, and well-drained soil, whether in full sun or light shade. Shield them from excessive winter wetness and prevent drying out during summer. Avoid overcrowding this plant, as it tends to spread. Large clumps can be divided every 3 years, and excess woody growth should be removed. If you desire to collect seeds, allow the seedheads to mature on the plant and harvest them when dry and brown.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
