Days Needed for Germination: 14–18 Ideal Soil Temperature Range for Germination: 60 to 80°F Thirty-one days until harvest Planting Depth: 1/2 inch, Row: 24 inches, Spacing: Plant spacing: 8 inches Light: Sunny Setting
As soon as the soil can be worked, leeks can be planted because they are incredibly resilient and forgiving.
In early to mid-spring, sow sparingly directly in drills with the goal of producing pencil-thick, approximately 8-inch-tall plants that can be transplanted to their final location.
Can be transplanted for an earlier crop after being planted in trays under protection.
When pencil size, which is in June or July, carefully lift and remove 1/3 of the roots and the top third of the foliage.
Plant in pre-made, sunny, 8-inch-between-plant holes that are 4-6 inches deep.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
