Elegant arching stems adorned with vibrant red trumpets gracefully cascade above textured, sword-shaped foliage. Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ is a cherished late-summer favorite, bursting into a riot of color just as other perennial borders are waning. This RHS AGM (Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit) variety is celebrated for its robustness and endurance, contributing both stature and vertical interest to sunlit herbaceous borders. Beyond its garden presence, the tall stems also make striking cut flowers. Reaching a height of 100cm (39″) and spreading 10cm (4″), ‘Lucifer’ stands as a dynamic and eye-catching addition to the landscape.

Sowing & Growing
Plant the seeds in cell packs or flats, gently pressing them into the soil and covering them minimally. Adequate light is beneficial for germination. Maintain a temperature of 65-70°F for optimal results, as germination may occur erratically over a span of 21-42 days. Once the danger of frost has passed, transplant the seedlings into the garden, spacing them 12-15 inches apart.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
