Growing Dahlias from seed offers a dual advantage, combining cost-effectiveness with vibrant blooms. In the initial year, you can enjoy an economical array of bright flowers, and each plant yields tubers that can be lifted, stored, and replanted for the next season. These colourful Dahlias showcase a splendid variety of multi-coloured hues. Ongoing stock reselection has yielded the finest colours and large blooms, with nearly 100% featuring collarettes in uniform or contrasting colours. Ideal for cutting, these Dahlias reach a height of 2ft (60cm).

Sowing & Growing
Sow seeds between February and April in trays filled with moist seed compost, covering them lightly with compost or vermiculite. Maintain a warm environment with a temperature range of 20-25°C (68-77°F).
Once seedlings reach a manageable size, transplant them into trays, spacing 5cm apart. As they grow, move them to 9cm pots. Acclimate the plants to outdoor conditions before planting from late May onwards, leaving a 60cm spacing between plants.
Expect a mature height of 90-120cm (36-48″).
Tip: Increase bloom size and quality by reducing the number of flower buds per stem.
Considered a half-hardy perennial but treat as a half-hardy annual.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
