Our Knee High Sweet Pea seeds belong to a dwarf variety that requires minimal support. When sown in spring at their flowering location, these seeds give rise to a 2ft high hedge adorned with blooms in a delightful array of colours. If sown in the autumn, the resulting hedge can reach twice this height, measuring up to 4ft (1.2m). This hardy annual is ideally sown indoors during the autumn through spring seasons.

Sowing & Growing
Plant directly after the risk of frost has subsided. Before planting, soak the seeds for 24 hours and then drain them. Indoors, sow three seeds in an 8cm pot, placing them 10mm deep in moist, well-drained soil. Promote propagation at a temperature of 20-25°C, and expect germination within 7-21 days. Once germinated, nurture the plants in cooler conditions. Acclimatize them before transplanting after the frost danger has passed. For direct outdoor planting, sow the seeds into prepared soil in rows, making drills 25mm deep with an 8cm spacing between them. This process can be carried out from autumn through spring.
