Ruby Passion Sunflower features rust-red petals with golden-orange tips on a robust central head. It has the potential to yield several secondary flowers. Standing at a height of 3-5 feet, this sunflower captivates with its bicolored beauty, drawing pollinators to the garden. The striking blooms are supported by distinctive dark purple stems, making it a visually appealing addition to any landscape. In optimal conditions, this sunflower produces a strong central flower, with the possibility of multiple branching flowers. Its shorter stature makes it an ideal choice for smaller garden spaces.

Sowing & Growing
Similar to other sunflowers, Ruby Passion is effortlessly cultivated and thrives in full sunlight. Its vibrant presence also makes it a stunning addition to fresh cut-flower arrangements. The botanical details for Helianthus annuus ‘Ruby Passion’ are as follows: Red Height: 3 – 5 ft. For optimal results, sow the seeds directly in the desired flowering location, planting them 15mm deep in finely prepared soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. Space the seeds 45cm apart, planting two seeds together. Seedlings typically emerge within 14-21 days. Once they are large enough to handle, thin out the weaker of the two plants, and if necessary, replant elsewhere. Ensure thorough watering until the plants are established. Alternatively, an early indoor start is possible by sowing seeds into individual pots, 15mm deep. Place the pots in a cold frame or greenhouse, keeping the soil consistently moist. Acclimatize the seedlings and transplant them outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
