A lovely, very dwarf Sunflower with very large, fully double, golden flowers which at 6ins across seem almost too big for the plant. 1½ft (40cm) Surely a plant that needs no introduction. Worthy of a place in any garden and a favourite for children to grow. Incidentally, an ideal plant to grow in a large clump at the foot of large trees or near the edge of a pool. They are surprisingly tolerant of partial shade. There are now also plenty of varieties that are great for cutting – big and dramatic and, of particular interest to the writer – no skill required for arranging! Just stick them in a (large) vase.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
