A classic garden variety that produces high yields of great tasting onions. Setton is meant to be an improved version of ‘Sturon’ with a shape that is more uniformed and can produce higher yields and has better storage potential. Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Planting
Plant your onion sets with the tips just peeping out, firming the soil around them. This process is best done from mid-March to mid-April, spacing them 15cm (6in) apart in rows that are 30cm (12in) apart. As the onions mature, lift them and allow them to dry before incorporating them into your culinary delights. For convenient usage throughout autumn and winter, store the fully ripened and healthy bulbs in nets or trays. Enjoy the bounty of your harvest all season long!

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
