Pumpkin ‘Crown of Thorns’ is an annual plant known for its trailing or reclining shoots. During the summer, this variety produces fruit that reaches several centimetres in diameter, taking on a distinctive shape resembling a crown of thorns. To maximize their ornamental value, the fruits are best harvested before the first frosts, making them suitable for indoor use. Ideal for adorning fences, or walls, Pumpkin ‘Crown of Thorns’ can also be cultivated as a ground cover plant.
Approximately 4-5 Seeds
Prior to sowing, immerse the seeds in warm water for approximately 2 hours. Plant them in trays, pots, or similar containers filled with high-quality seed compost, using a propagator or warm location to maintain an optimal temperature of 20-30°C. Sow the seeds at a depth of 6mm (0.25in) during March-April, with germination typically occurring within 7-21 days.
Once the seedlings are sufficiently large to handle, transplant them, harden them off, and plant them outdoors when all risk of frost has subsided, spacing them 30cm (12in) apart in full sun. Utilize ordinary garden soil for planting.
Caution: Not Edible

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
