Perforate St. John’s-wort, also known as Common St. John’s-wort, is a medium-tall, hairless perennial found in grassland. Similar to other St. John’s-wort species, it boasts golden yellow flowers adorned with black dots along the edges of the petals. When held up to the light, the leaves reveal numerous translucent dots, giving rise to the common name “perforate St. John’s-wort.”

Sowing & Growing
These seeds can be directly sown into the growing position either in autumn or spring by scattering them thinly over finely prepared soil without covering them. Alternatively, you can sow them in trays under cover about 10-12 weeks before the last predicted frost. When sowing indoors, surface sow the seeds and gently press them in, avoiding covering as they require light to germinate. The optimal germination temperature is 15-21°C, with germination typically occurring in 15-30 days from a spring sowing. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick them out into trays or pots and continue to grow them on. When the danger of frost has passed, plant them out into their final position, gradually acclimatizing plants that have been grown under cover.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
