Turbo is a variety in the late segment and is originally from the Netherlands. Turbo almost has the same characteristics as Sturon, but a much higher dry dust level, due to which the onions have a much higher yield in the baking industry. Turbo produces round/domed onions with an average neck and a strong, bronze coloured skin. Under the right circumstances, Turbo can be stored year-round.

Plant late February until April for harvesting August to September.
Prepare the soil bed and press the sets gently into the ground 5-10cm (2-4 inches) apart, leave a distance of 25-30cm (10-12 inches) between rows.
