Marco Garlic bulbs are bursting with rich flavour, featuring a delicate white skin. This popular variety is not only known for its delectable taste but is also an effortlessly cultivatable bulb. When planted in March, you can expect to harvest cloves by August.

Planting
Plant the Marco Garlic bulbs anytime from October to March, ensuring a depth of 2cm and spacing them 15cm apart. If planting in rows, provide approximately 30cm of space between them. These bulbs thrive in full sun and are not particularly finicky about soil type. As they reach harvest readiness, the foliage will take on a yellow hue. Carefully lift them and place in a well-lit area for ripening before storing in a dry, airy location. One bulb can yield around 10 cloves.
When working with bulbs and tubers, it’s advisable to wear gloves, as they may cause skin irritation and can be harmful if ingested.
For a harmonious garden, consider planting Garlic alongside other seasonal vegetables like Onions and Potatoes. This combination not only works well together but ensures a continuous supply throughout the season.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
