Clump-forming and upright, Tall False Sunflowers exhibit a tendency to remain confined rather than spreading across the garden. To prevent the central clumps from withering, it is advisable to divide the plants every two to three years. This can be done either in spring or autumn.

Sowing & Growing
Indoor sowing is suitable at any time, preferably in spring, about 6-8 weeks before the last anticipated frost. Plant the seeds 2mm deep in a moist, well-drained seed compost. Maintain an ideal temperature of 20°C for optimal results. Germination typically takes around 10-15 days. If germination doesn’t occur within 3-4 weeks, consider cold stratification by moving to a temperature range of -4 to +4°C for 2-4 weeks, followed by a return to warmth for germination. Once seedlings are sizable enough to handle, transplant them. Acclimate the plants before planting them outdoors once the threat of frost has passed.
