Sow in February or March in a warm place under cover. In February or March, a windowsill is too chilly.
15–25 days for germination on moist, loamy seed compost.
Plant sparingly in trays, then gently cover with seed compost. Maintain at about 20°C and water gradually.
When seedlings reach a size suitable for transplanting, place them in 9-cm pots. Grow undercover or indoors.
The cultivar is prone to rotting, so avoid overwatering it. Keep pots away from moisture.
To extend blossoming (May – August), remove dead flowers.
