Dwarf Italian Borlotto Bean Lingua Di Fuoco bush version of this stunning Italian bean much in demand and prized for its ‘Tongue of Fire’ red pods up to 8 in/20 cm long. Very early and extremely productive, these beans are white with red specks and great in soups. Can also be eaten like fresh green beans before they fully ripen. Amazing flavour.

Sowing & Growing
Sow indoors April to May, 20mm deep in 8cm pots of seed compost. Propagate at 12-25°C. Germination takes 7-10 days. Do not exclude light. Once germinated grow on in cooler conditions until frost has passed. Acclimatise 7-10 days before planting out. Alternatively sow directly outside May to July into warm soil 5cm deep, spacing 25cm, rows 60cm apart.
