Growing; Seed dormancy is broken by a period of chilling and therefore sowing must occur in late summer or autumn. Cow parsley can be introduced into most meadow mixtures but we would urge caution as it can dominate and once established it is difficult to remove.

This grassland perennial, which is of medium height, can be considered as the downland version of Meadowsweet. Dropwort distinguishes itself from Meadowsweet by having a more spacious and potentially more appealing cluster of flowers, with fewer but larger unscented flowers. The flowering period of this plant is from May to August. Habitat Information Dropwort is a native perennial that thrives in chalk and limestone downs, as well as on heaths over limestone, chalk, and other basic rocks. It can be found in relatively rough grassland where it can persist for numerous years. However, it requires an open sward for regeneration. In the absence of any grazing or cutting, it will eventually disappear. Growing Information Dropwort is a plant that germinates in spring and is best sown in autumn.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
