A robust member of the mint family, this plant boasts strong stems and tall, elegant green candle-like flowers that bloom from July to September. Arranged in closed ranks, the long green spikes bear pale, greenish-yellow flowers, creating a striking focal point in any border. Thriving in sunny or semi-shaded sites, it feels right at home on the woodland edge. This perennial is easy to grow, reliable, and a prized addition to gardens, especially cherished by flower arrangers and enthusiasts of green flowers. With a height range of 60-90cm, hardiness, and belonging to the Scrophulariaceae family, it is commonly known as ‘Agastache Nepetoides’ or ‘Green Candles.’ This unique and fragrant-leaved “bubble mint” can create a truly dramatic effect when grown as a solitary clump, attracting a plethora of insects, including bees and butterflies.

Sowing & Growing
For best performance, sow seeds in ample light at any time using a quality soil-based compost. Cover the seeds with fine grit or compost to a depth roughly equivalent to their own size. We advise germinating at temperatures ranging from 15-20°C, anticipating germination within 2 to 6 weeks, although it might extend beyond that duration. Prior to eventual planting, transplant the seedlings into a container or a well-drained area.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
