60ltr General Potting Compost
A peat-free compost with essential plant food and trace elements for healthy growth that feeds up to 6 months.
For potting on plug plants and more established plants:
Before potting, water plants thoroughly and then place in individual pots. Top up with compost, taking care not to damage the roots. Gently firm down and water with a fine rose.
Containers, tubs and baskets:
Place a layer of compost inside the base of the pot. Place the plant inside the pot and fill the pot with compost. Firm the plant in gently and water thoroughly.
Beds and borders:
Dig a hole twice the size of the rootball. After positioning the plant, back fill with 50% compost and 50% garden soil. Firm the compost down around the plant and water thoroughly.
Tips:
Store in a cool dry place out of the sun. Always wear gloves when gardening and handling compost and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. Please be aware of your own limits when lifting and handling bags of compost. Occasionally a white mould can appear on the compost. This is natural and will soon disappear without harming the plants. Please keep packaging away from children and pets.
Feeding:
This compost contains controlled-release fertiliser which releases nutrients under the correct conditions for up to 6 months. After 6 months, feed during the growing season with a soluble plant food. Not suitable for seeds and cuttings – please use Keith Singleton’s Universal Seed & Cutting Compost instead

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
