With its compact size, ‘Ms Mars’ thrives in containers and adds charm to the forefront of borders. The daisy-like flowers, adorned with vibrant pink-reddish petals, make it a beloved choice for children and an excellent cut flower. Reaching a height of 55cm, this variety is ideal for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Start sowing indoors in March/April or directly outdoors in April/May, and enjoy blooming flowers from July to October.

Sowing & Growing
Directly sow the seeds at their intended flowering location, burying them 15mm deep in finely prepared soil that has been meticulously raked to a fine tilth. Plant two seeds together every 45cm, and expect seedlings to emerge within 14-21 days. Once they are large enough to handle, thin out the weaker of the two plants, and consider replanting elsewhere if needed. Ensure thorough watering until the plants are well-established. Alternatively, for an early start, sow indoors in individual pots at a depth of 15mm. Place the pots in a cold frame or greenhouse, keeping the soil consistently moist. Acclimate the seedlings and transplant them after the danger of frost has passed.
This variety is easy to cultivate, thriving particularly well when positioned near a fence or wall. Water deeply but infrequently, and feed sparingly. Staking or providing support is advisable.
If you intend to harvest the seeds, safeguard the flower head with garden fleece to discourage squirrels and birds. Alternatively, cut the head and dry it indoors. Seeds are typically ready approximately 30-45 days after blooming.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
