Sowing & Growing
In autumn or winter, sow seeds in small pots filled with compost, either in a cold frame or greenhouse. Place 2 or 3 seeds per pot, burying them about 1-2cm deep. Expect germination within 1-3 weeks. Once the seedlings are established, with a height surpassing 10cm, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth. Transplant them into the garden in a sunny spot during spring. Alternatively, sow in spring either in small pots or directly in the ground. Plants from autumn/winter sowings tend to flower earlier than those from spring sowings.
The growth cycle involves plants growing in spring, flowering in summer, and naturally concluding their life cycle in late summer, at which point they can be removed. While they can be cultivated in pots, it’s crucial to provide ample water for optimal performance. Regularly fertilize potted plants during flowering. Offer support for the plants, whether through a trellis, wires, or by encouraging them to climb other tall plants. As they ascend, you may need to tie them in place. To extend the flowering period, deadhead the plants regularly. This care routine ensures a supply of fragrant cut flowers throughout the summer.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
