Sowing & Growing
Sow indoors from February to May by placing seeds into moist, well-drained seed compost, ensuring they are just covered. Propagate at a temperature of 18-21°C, with germination being slow and erratic (14-90 days) and occurring in the dark. Keep the soil consistently moist without saturation, opting for bottom watering. Once germinated, uncover to prevent damping off and reduce the temperature to 15°C, making a windowsill an ideal location. Transplant seedlings into 8cm pots when sufficiently large, acclimatize, and plant out 20cm apart in full sun.
Optimal results are achieved by growing in mass. Pinch back when initially planted to stimulate branching. Ensure deep watering to encourage robust root growth. This variety is a “cut and come again” type. Regularly cut flowers to promote growth and extend the flowering period.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
