Sowing & Growing
Sow the seeds from late winter to early spring, approximately 8 weeks before the last frosts in your region, at a temperature of around 20°C, ensuring the seeds are just covered. For transplanting, plant in a heated greenhouse in mid-February, in a cool greenhouse in mid-spring, or outdoors early June, after all risk of frost has passed. When transplanting, ensure there are 2 pairs of leaves and move them to 7cm pots. Grow them on and transplant into a greenhouse border, pots, or growbags.
For outdoor tomato seeds, sow them in March-April, transplant to 7cm pots, and grow on, with planting out after the last frost. Feed the plants after the first truss has set and pinch out side shoots on indeterminate plants (cordon). These tomatoes can be grown in a greenhouse, plastic tunnel, or outdoors in warm areas.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
