Sowing & Growing
Start the germination process indoors by sowing seeds onto moist and well-drained seed compost, covering them lightly with soil. Provide a gentle heat for propagation, and germination typically takes 7-14 days. Once the seedlings display two true leaves, transplant them into 8cm pots, maintaining a minimum temperature of 15°C.
Acclimatize the plants and, after the risk of frost has passed, plant them outdoors with a spacing of 60cm or three plants per grow bag. If utilizing an unheated greenhouse, follow the same steps but delay planting until March or April. Growing these plants is straightforward—ensure the soil remains consistently moist, use a high-potash plant food once fruit appears, and they thrive both outdoors and in a greenhouse.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
