Sowing & Growing
Sow indoors from Autumn to Spring, or directly after the danger of frost has passed. Before sowing, soak the seeds for 24 hours, then drain. Indoors, sow three seeds in an 8cm pot, 10mm deep into moist, well-drained soil. Propagate at 20-25°C, and germination typically takes 7-21 days. Once germinated, continue growing in cooler conditions. Acclimatize and plant out after the danger of frost has passed. For direct sowings, plant into drills of prepared soil at a depth of 25mm, with a spacing of 8cm.
Pinch out the growing points of each stem when the second pair of leaves have opened to encourage bushier growth. This plant prefers a moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Provide a framework for climbing, allowing two plants per frame. Regularly feed and water. Deadhead frequently to prevent seedpods from developing and to extend the flowering period.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
