Plant the seeds directly in the desired flowering location by sowing them 15mm deep into finely prepared soil, which should be raked to achieve a fine tilth. Sow two seeds together every 45cm. Expect seedlings to emerge within 14-21 days. Once they reach a sufficient size for handling, thin out the weaker of the two plants, and consider replanting elsewhere if needed. Ensure thorough watering until the plants are well established.

For an early start, initiate the germination process indoors by sowing the seeds into individual pots at a depth of 15mm. Place the pots in a cold frame or greenhouse, keeping the soil consistently moist. Acclimate the seedlings gradually and transplant them outdoors after the risk of frost has passed.
