Useful Information

Sowing & Growing

Sow Sunset Giant Marigold seeds from February to March. Choose pots or trays filled with good compost and sow under glass at a temperature of 18°C. Lightly cover the seeds with sifted compost.

Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, carefully prick them off into trays, spacing them 5cm apart. Allow them to grow on and gradually harden off before planting in the final site, spacing them 20cm apart, starting from late May.

Expect maturity from June onwards. For a late display of flowers, consider making direct sowings into the flowering site in May.
