Sowing & Growing
The ideal times to sow these poppy seeds are in pots during autumn or directly outdoors in spring. When sown in spring, the plants will bloom from June to August, while autumn sowings result in flowering from May onward. Poppies have delicate root systems, making transplanting challenging. It is advised to sow them thinly either indoors or directly in their designated outdoor spot. Sow seeds in deeper pots if indoors, using fine seeding compost, and cover until the first green shoots appear.
When sowing directly outdoors, mix the seeds with sand for even distribution, ensuring thin coverage. Protect young spring seedlings from frost if necessary. In both cases, thin the seedlings ruthlessly by early summer, leaving only the healthiest ones spaced 30cm (12in) apart for optimal flowering and pod production.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
