Lilium bulbs thrive when provided with the protection of low-growing shrubs or nearby plants at their base. During their active growth phase, it is essential to water them generously and to administer a high potash liquid fertilizer biweekly. When planting, it is beneficial to encase each bulb in a layer of sharp sand both beneath and above to deter slugs and prevent excessive moisture. Given that most liliums root from the stem, it is advisable to plant them at a depth of 15 cm. For optimal visual impact, it is recommended to plant them in clusters of 3, 6, or 12 bulbs, spaced 45 cm apart.
I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
