Belonging to the Convolvulaceae family, this resilient annual reaches a height of 14-40cm and is commonly referred to as Dwarf Morning Glory. Its consistently blooming, captivating blue flowers, adorned with white throats and yellow centres, create a striking bedding arrangement that lasts throughout the summer. Despite not being a climber like its relatives, when allowed to cascade over a wall, it can produce a visually stunning spectacle!

Sowing & Growing
Begin the indoors, surface sow the seeds onto moist, well-drained seed compost and lightly cover with vermiculite. Maintain an ideal temperature of 18°C for germination, which typically takes 3-4 weeks. Transplant the seedlings into 8cm pots once they are large enough to handle, allowing them to grow further. Acclimate the plants and plant them outdoors once the risk of frost has passed, with a spacing of 50cm.
This plant thrives in any ordinary soil, including poor soil types, when placed in full sun. It exhibits drought tolerance and benefits from a frame or fence for climbing. Minimal attention is required for its care. Trim the plant as needed to retain an appealing shape. There’s a possibility of self-seeding.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
