Sowing & Growing
Start the indoor sowing process 6-8 weeks prior to the last anticipated frost, or opt for direct sowing from April onward. Surface sow the seeds onto a well-drained, moist seed compost, lightly covered with a sprinkling of soil. Maintain an ideal temperature of 13-18°C for germination, which typically takes approximately 12-18 days. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into 8cm pots for further growth. Acclimatize the seedlings and, after the risk of frost has subsided, plant them outdoors. For direct outdoor sowing, plant the seeds 1mm deep into prepared soil that has been finely raked, ensuring a spacing of 30cm between seeds.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
