Cabbage ‘Brunswick’ is a medium-late plant, which produces slightly flattened round heads with fairly loose leaves; the heads grow 3 to 5 kilograms in weight. They can be stored to late winter, and they do not lose their nutritional value during the process. This variety can be eaten raw as well as used for souring. Cabbage ‘Brunswick’ is the best variety for stuffed cabbage (Polish “Golabki”). This meal is very tasty, and preparing it using this cabbage variety is comparatively easy due to the leaves that peel off very nicely.
Growing: sow the seeds in a seedbed or under cover in April. Plant out into a permanent position in 50-60×50-60cm spacings around May, once the seedlings have developed 3 to 4 leaves. The vegetables require to be fertilised and watered a lot. Do not cultivate this variety in acidic soils.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
