Sowing & Growing
Sow indoors Feb-Apr, 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 15°C. Germination takes 10-15 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out once danger of frost has passed. This does prefer a sandy soil which has been enriched with humus, but any deep, moist but well-drained soil will suffice with Full sun.
Deadhead spent flowers to extend the flowering window. Annual plant, pull and compost at the end of the season.

I have just bought all my new seeds for next year’s vegetables after having such great results this year. Budget seeds are so helpful, I’m a newbie in the veg growing world and they have been helpful in choosing the best seeds to start with etc. also much cheaper than elsewhere so if I do mess up in the future it isn’t costing me so much. I thoroughly recommend Budget Seeds for all your veg and flower seeds.
